Sony Pictures Television International Production’s new Digital Studio is here to shape the future of entertainment—developing creator-first, platform-native original content for digital audiences. The newly launched UK-based Digital Studio will be making YouTube series, creator partnerships, podcasts, and branded content that’s bold, audience-first, and made for how people really watch.

We are seeking a proactive Channel Manager with a strategic mindset to join Sony Pictures new Digital Studio. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and manage all releases across our channels, primarily focusing on YouTube, while also posting and managing channels on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook & others. You will play a crucial role in orchestrating the growth and development of our diverse YouTube channels by transforming analytical insights into compelling, culturally relevant content.
What You’ll Do
- Lead channel operations, audience development, and creative positioning to ensure content resonates with target audiences.
- Develop and execute comprehensive channel strategies, covering video concepts, thumbnails, metadata, and overall channel vision.
- Partner with internal teams to support seamless video production, providing creative and strategic guidance.
- Oversee YouTube scheduling and publishing, applying platform best practices to grow audiences through content distribution and community management.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director on YouTube roadmaps, building repeatable, habit-forming content formats.
- Write and edit platform-native titles, descriptions, and metadata; create engaging thumbnails; and adapt content for YouTube with clarity, accessibility, and brand consistency.
- Lead analytics and reporting, interpreting metrics such as retention curves, CTR, AVD, and traffic sources; design and run structured tests; iterate formats; and share insights with stakeholders.
- Partner with the Digital Production Team and global editorial/social teams to align on best practices and drive growth.
- Support channel operations by managing schedules, uploads, playlists, end screens/cards, and publishing workflows.
- Conduct quality control via pre-publish checklists, ensuring accuracy, brand alignment, and ad suitability.
- Track performance trends, run thumbnail/title A/B tests, and document learnings to inform future strategy.
- Maintain trackers, calendars, and asset workflows, ensuring smooth operations across stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven success managing large-scale YouTube channels with measurable growth in subscribers, watch time, and monetization.
- Expert in short-form content creation, with a deep understanding of what drives engagement and maximizes views on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Deep knowledge of YouTube content strategy, algorithms, retention strategies, and monetization models (RPM, monetized playbacks).
- Strong creative skills in developing thumbnails and packaging that boost CTR and session starts.
- Experience managing brand partnerships across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar) and post-production workflows.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage content calendars and end-to-end production workflows from pitch to publish.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Working knowledge of YouTube Studio, analytics, and SEO for titles/descriptions; passion for algorithms, retention, and monetization.
- Basic to intermediate skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and thumbnail design tools (Photoshop, Canva, Figma).
- Clear communicator, highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at balancing multiple priorities.
- Collaborative team player: proactive, professional, and receptive to feedback.
